Achankmar Tiger Reserve | Yesnearme
A British man has died in a sudden tiger attack at Achankamar Tiger Reserve. Hence the place came to be known as Achankamar. Achankamar Wildlife Sanctuary was established in 1975 and declared as a tiger reserve in 2009. Legend has it that a British man was killed by a tiger’s sudden (‘sudden’) attack (‘mar’) in this forest.
